The Blog Getting to Know Each Other, activity developed by ESO and Bachillerato students of English at Santa Teresa School in the framework of eTwinning, has been awarded one of the three prizes for the Best Education Blog in the Second Blog Contest Espacio Europa 2010. It has proved to be a means for students to interact with other pupils from other countries in the EU effectively, as well as it has encouraged teenagers in each country to develop creativity and a foreign language, combining ordinary mail and new technologies, to get them to know other countries and cultures. Dr Luz María Santamarta Lozano received the diploma in Brussels last July from Alberto Mélida Asensio, responsible for information campaigns to the citizen in the EC Representation to Spain. Besides, it has been given the National and European Quality Labels, which is a concrete recognition to teachers and schools of the high level of their eTwinning activities. For pupils, this offers a boost to their work efforts, and for the school in general, a public affirmation of their commitment to quality and openness in European collaborative work.
